Hi experts,

for some reason, i needed to rebuild a virtual mse. the installation is on hyperV server. unfortunately an installer is only available in version 8.0.100.0. installation is fine, but after this i have to upgrade to 8.0.150.0. i followed whatever is mentioned here:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/mse/release/notes/mse8_0_150.html#51097

after executing /opt/installers/CISCO-MSE-L-K9-8-0-150-0-64bit.bin, i got the error as attached (encryption upgrade failed.png)

inside that /opt/mse/logs/password_upgrade.log is attached (dboldpassword.png)

but i couldnt understand what does it mean. seems in a dead end. tried to search for it but cant find any similar issue.

please help!

                                        - Following the link that you mentioned , did you also take notice of this :

You also need to install the Encryption Upgrade patch during this upgrade process. Make sure to download this patch file when you download the Cisco MSE to 8.0.150.0 software image.

Hi Marce, yes i already did that before executing 8.0.150.0 installation.

ok i managed to upgrade from 8.0.100 to 8.0.150.0 by upgrading to 8.0.130.0 first.

so 8.0.100.0 to 8.0.130.0 then to 8.0.150.0.

but now im having issue with the HA. seems the secondary server is still looking for the old primary's UDI. how can i establish the HA to the new primary?
