Standalone ap connects to switch in vlan X. so we configured the BVI interface ip as x.x.x.x.
Now we need to create a DHCP pool for ip range y.y.y.y which is not created in switch side as any vlan.
Whether it is possible?
ip dhcp pool test
network y.y.y.y/24
default-router x.x.x.x

ip dhcp pool test network y.y.y.y/24 default-router x.x.x.x
This does not make sense, default gateway should be one of the IP of the network defined. So network & default gateway cannot be in two different network.

I have no idea why some people have this propensity to configure DHCP on an autonomous AP. The only time you want to do this is when your switch is a dumb switch. Otherwise, you want to put your DHCP scope at the centre-most of your network. The reason is common sense: If you have tree network, your users will need to crawl to your network to get from one end to the other just to get an IP address. If your DHCP scope is situated in the middle of your network, you cut the "distance". Networking 101: Keep local traffic LOCAL.
