need help to calculate physcial data rate of a client based on WLC show client detail output?

hi all,

does anyone know how to calculate physcial data rate of a client based on WLC show client detail output?

 

for example

AP type 802.11bn

Current TxRateSet m11
Data RateSet 6.0,12.0,18.0,24.0,36.0,48.0,54.0

Check this one, its for 802.11ac but you can see the datasheet of AP and calculate accordingly :

The later stands for MCS8 and 1 Spatial Stream.

Then you need to add another piece of information to this from AP configuration which is Channel Width in order to know the exact data rate the client is using.

i attached show controller from AP, but i cant workout  from that post how each variables come from:

 

{ [Bandwidth (As in no. of data subcarriers) x No. of spatial Strms. x Databits per sub-carrier] / Time per ofdm symbol }

i assume it's m9 ss2 is 2 streams of m9 rate, but what m9 is? 

see the M9 is the table of 2 Spatial stream of 40GHz:

360 or 400Mb/s!!

Hi Sandeep,

how did you get this? is m9 same as VHT MCS index 9? i see current rate can be m11 or m12, and the table doesnt cover?

then 360.0 or 400 x 0.65 = 234/ 240mpbs?

 

is there a similar table for 2.4ghz?
