Hello,

Can't find any information about WGB mode at new Cisco ap like 1815, 1830 series.

Have a task to switch office printers from cable to wireless.

If you want less hassle, leave them wired :)

8.8MR1 is adding similar feature (WGB on COS Aps)  for wave2 ap models, if you really interested on testing it.

Maybe some examples why I shouldn't do this and examples how to do it better?

Here is the 8.8MR1 beta testing link. I have corrected the previous post attached release note link.

If you can live with a wired connection, that is the best-way, specially devices like printers where no mobility/roaming required. Reliability you get from a wired connection cannot be compared with wireless.

Another common issue with printers is they are passive devices. Not generating traffic, so they could easily disconnect from wireless network & users may have issue printing.
