Well...i need help to configure tha access point as a repeater

and i configured it as Reapeter already but constantly the network is going down.. and its said that it wasnt authenticaded for its parent...and also i cant change tsunami name.. but if i did that then i dont have the posibility to comunicate in the network..... so ..what should i do.. i hope you can understand what i mean thanks a lot

Since the network is down, may be this should be worth a try. Try backing up configs on AP, erase config, reload, remove old SSID tsunami, add new SSID, from the web interface configure the AP as repeater and see if this helps!!

What IOS are you running on the box ? What model of AP ?

ok... the model is air-ap1231g-a-k9 cisco aironet 1200 series wireless access point

i couldnt access to the web configure mode ... so i`m configuring from console....

and from there i changed the station role as a repeater ..and it worked,,,, but now i want to change the device´s name but when i change it..i couldnt recieve signal from another access point

becoz it said that i dont have authentication from its parents i hope you can understand me thanks a lot for your response
