Outdoor channels allowed for regulatory domain ETSI EU/FR

Hi

I was looking for an updated and reliable reference about what 5Ghz channels are usable for outdoor deployment in France or at least in Europe.

I'm not talking about mesh infrastructure but about an enterprise deployment.

I had a lot of readings and I was still confused. I think that a lot of documentation apply to FCC domain and also that some ETSI rules may have evolved in time. Even some network hardware providers publish wrong documentation.

So for anymore that wonders the same, the answer is:

- frequencies from 5 150 MHz to 5 350 MHz and 5 470 MHz to 5 725 MHz are dedicated to indoor deployment only.

- so channels from 36 to 64 included are not allowed for outdoor access points usage.

- note: in fact, 5 150 MHz to 5 350 MHz is partially allowed not fixed, at limited EIRP inside a vehicule. So it is not an outdoor deployment.

The decision of European Union is available in all european countries languages in the document 32022D2307 (2022-11-23) :

https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A32022D2307&qid=1698652726542

I also can confirm that as usual, people from WirelessLAN Professionals community has already documented that correctly :
