Hi,
What version of MSE/CPI are you using?
Can you confirm that CPI is using the correct credentials? On the MSE, can it ping CPI? If so, try the setup menu and alter the option for the CPI credentials:
On MSE:
/opt/mse/setup/setup.sh
Skip the wizard and find the option for CPI Credentials
Enter your credentials or set them to default
Save your changes
Match these in CPI where you have added the MSE
Try a sync again
Cheers,

Can you ping the MSE and login to it?

Ok so as per the instructions in my first post you may need to ensure the credentials used between MSE/CPI are correct. You can also just try reloading MSE (or restarting the service) as this sometimes fixes the sync. Was it previously working?
Is there a firewall between the two devices? There needs to be specific ports open for the two to work together.

If it was working previously then it is unlikely credentials are a problem. I would first restart the MSE service (or the whole server) and confirm sync is still failing.
To check credentials:
Go to Services -> Mobility Services - Mobility Services Engines
Select your MSE server
Edit the credentials (default for MSE is admin/admin)
Then try and sync again.
