ping-pong effect

Hello.

While reading about Cisco Compatible Extension Program, I read about ping-pong effect and new features to solve this problem. So from Cisco guide I read the next:

If the client stays at the edge, it gives a premium to the preferred AP in order to avoid the ping-pong effect

Could someone clarify what this sentence means? What is preffered AP?

Ping-pong effect occurs when the wireless client is at the edge of the two cells and hope between them  and cisco compatible extenion helps resolve it . Check the given presentation that will explain the working

I saw this presentation but it does not explain what premium AP means(((

Well in regards to the above statement it means after the criteria the AP with better percentage will be selected (prefered AP based on AP selection criteria)
