Hello all,

I have Pocket PC PDA ipaq that i want to bring on wireless network (802.11b)

the details are as follows

1) PDA Device - Compaq iPAQ Pocket Pc 3600 using the expansion sleeve for CF slot . The details as mentioned in the URL(http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/ipaq-cf-expansionpack-review.html)

2) Some guys guys have suggested the wireless ethernet card as : - AIR-PCM352 (from AIR-PCM350 series)

Our queries are as follows: -

1) is the AIR-PCM352 wireless ethernet card by CISCO compatible with the Compaq iPaq 3600(model 3630) with Pocket PC OS(Please note POCKET PC 2000 OS (WIN CE 3.0 build 9616), NOT Pocket PC 2002 or Pocket PC 2003)?

2) Are the drivers available for the Pocket PC OS on Compaq iPaq Pocket PC2000 OS (WIN CE 3.0 build 9616) . If so, are they supplied during the purchase of the card?

3) MOST IMPORTANT, will the card fit in AND be compatible with the expansion sleeve for CF slot (the sleeve which is as shown in this URL pictures.. to confirm... http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/ipaq-cf-expansionpack-review.html)

4) What is the difference between AIR-PCM352 and AIR-PCM350 from CISCO?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Harsh

Hi there,

You should have no problems with a Cisco 350 card in your IPAQ. I have this setup myself with PC2002. I've checked the drivers on Cisco and you hould have no problems:

Hope it helps

Harse,

1). you need the expansion slot (mine is part #173396-001 from compaq/HP)

2). you need a Csico AP-350 PCMCIA series card ( AIR-PCM352 is what i use)

3). you need to be linked to a desktop PC (ActiveSYnc)

Here are the files i used to get mine working:

msasync.exe (version 4.71) from microsoft

WinCE-PCMCIA-LMC-v250.exe from Cisco

Good Luck,

Gregg
