Hi community,

I have 2 types of AP1815i and AP702i with the same configuration, but i have a problem in the speed of AP702i.

The speed of AP1815i = 50 Mps.

The speed of AP702i=20Mps.

All AP in same Wlc 2500.

What model of WLC are you using? just noticed you say 2500 so presume 2504?
What version of software is that running?
How is the WLAN configured?
What RF profile are you using?
What data rates are enabled/disabled?
What band is the client connected to in each case?
What type of device is the client?
Does this affect all clients or only a specific client?
Is the affected client running the latest and OS and wireless network adapter driver version?

What do you see for the client connection when connected on each AP?
AireOS: show client detail <MAC addr>
IOS-XE: show wireless client mac-address <MAC addr> detail not applicable if 2504 on AireOS

band is the client connected: 2.4GHz and 5GHz
Type of device: Laptops and smartphones.
The clients used just AP702i effect.

You say 2504 WLC but you've pasted a screenshot from a vWLC!  Are the APs on different controllers?

You're using 8.5.151.0 - upgrade to 8.5.182.7

YOU need to compare the client output when connected to each AP.
You can work out the theoretical max throughput for each using https://mcsindex.net/ (reality is usually around 50% of max)

band is the client connected: 2.4GHz and 5GHz
It's connected to one or the other, not both.  2.4 will often be slower but it depends on your config and the RF environment.

From your screenshot none of those RF profiles have been used.

Hello,
We have almost the same problem with access points AIR-CAP702I-I-K9:
We have 12 access points managed by WLC AIR-CT2504-K9,
The speed is compliant (>80Mbs) if you connect with the AP1815I-I-K9 (Nbr=7 AP), but the speed does not exceed 20Mb/s with the AP702I-I-K9

Well keep in mind that you are comparing an 802.11ac ap to an 802.11n.  Also, it depends on the radio band the device is connected to, you should test on 5ghz and also validate that the channel width is set to 40mhz.  Then you should test with iperf using a wired device as the server with a laptop that is connected to 5ghz.  Test connecting to both model of access points and see what you get.  Don't use any internet speed test.

Thank you for your feedback, below are the tests with iperf

I still don't see a side by side comparison of the "show client" output for each of those connections.

Hi,

Attached the iperf test on both sides

You are using the same devices when testing correct?  It does seem like the 702 is slow, have you tried to reboot that ap and test again?  Also take a look at the rssi and noise when you are testing.

If you are testing on a Windows machine, run the following:

netsh wlan show interfaces

Look at the wlan reports also:

yes exactly the slowness is only with the Ap 702,
the test with the same pc windows10,
attached the result of the commands netsh wlan show interfaces

But still no side by side comparison of the "show client" output for each of those connections @sam1245 ?

where can i find it? on wifi controller

show client <mac address> is a command you can run on the controller cli.  This will show what the controller knows about the client.

Thank you for your help, attached is the result of "show client "command for both APs
