register ap to another mobile anchroning

I have configured mobile anchroning, my thin ap is registered with WLC1, now I want to register this ap to WLC 2, if I shutdown WLC1, does it auto registered with wlc 2, or should i manually register ap in wlc 2?

The best way is to define the primary and secondary controller on the AP. This can be found in the high availability setting on the AP itself. Setting up the mobility group and would also provide all the controllers in the mobility group to the AP’s. Defining the high availability is the best way.
