Hi all

When I am configuring a repeater to associate

With a root and presetting the root to channel 6,

Does the repeater associate with the root on the same channel ?

Thank you in advance

Wireless client cards, listen on all channels until an AP responds to the card. It then will only use that one channel until it loses connection to the AP.

I have found it is best to "lock" repeaters and associated APs to specific channels in networks where multiple repeaters are used. At times when I did not do this I have found that a repeater will have "wandered back" to its default channel and never (seemingly) bother to re-associate with the AP that wandered off for a better channel.

Maybe this is fixed in late firmware??
