Selecting Outdoor and Indoor AP

Hello Experts,

I am new to wireless world and one of the customer has asked for a BOM for Wireless AP and Antenna.
This is a production site and there are some areas where we need to consider Outdoor AP.
For indoor AP I have shortlisted C9117AXI-E (Site is in Saudi Arabia) but for Outdoor am still confused.

1)Can anyone suggest me a good Outdoor AP.
2)Does Outdoor AP uses the same CAPWAP protocol as that of Indoor APs ?
3)Would I be able to connect it to WLC as the usual Lightweight AP?
4) Can I go for an indoor AP and use external Antennas instead of an Outdoor AP ?

5)Any suggestions for Antennas?

Planning for 9800-L WLC.

Please suggest.

Well, the 9800-L does support mesh, what AP you use, you must make sure its compatible with the firmware you run on the 9800.

Yes

Yes, but in mesh mode

Only if it has been certified for outdoor, this is typical with the part number having a ‘-P’
