Setting up AP1142N-A-K9 in an existing Wi-Fi Network

Greetings All!

I have a AP1142N-A-K9 that I picked up in a surplus lot and was wondering in I could use it to connect devices in a detached shop which has a switch which is connected to a Wi-Fi equipped modem with Cat 5 cabling?

The existing Network works fine, I just want to connect wireless devices in the shop which are out of range of the existing modem?

Thanks,

Carl

Yes you can do it.

first check if this AP has autonomous image or lightweight image.

check : https://rscciew.wordpress.com/2014/01/04/understand-access-point-ios-images/

how to configure a autonomous AP:
