Hello out there,

after setting up a 9800-CL with 9120AXI in my homelab I stumbled across some problems: Sonos devices can't associate with the APs.

The Radioactive Trace shows the following messages:

I'm kind of lost as it worked "out of the box" with an old vWLC with 8.3.150 software.

Please advise and point me into the right direction...

Thanks in advance,

Jörg

I think this is your problem

Aironet ipaddr IE is not present in Assoc Request

try this and see if it works

Step 1

Choose Configuration > Tags & Profiles > WLANs .

Step 2

In the WLANs window, click Add.

Step 3

In the Add WLAN window, under the Advanced tab, uncheck the Aironet IE check box to disable Aironet IE on the WLAN.

Step 4

Click Apply to Device.

-hope this helps-

Thanks, that was helpful. WMM was on the 9800 required but Sonos don't support it.
