These are the IOS version and Firmware version for my client :
AP1100 : c1100-k9w7-mx.122-8.JA
Aironet 350 Client Adapter : V5.02.19
These are my setup, and both running on non-overlapping channel within 10 feet.
Switch
/ \
AP AP
Things configure at AP :
ssid : xyz
encryption : MIC
Channel : 1 & 6
If I boot up only I AP, the ssid mismatch will not occured. When the second AP is up and running, the ssid mismatch will keep on increasing even I enable the beacons feature on APs.
I have no problem in associate and transmit data through AP even the plcp frame error and ssid mismatch occured. What are the possible cause for this problem? If interference, I did use non-overlapping channel?

Sam

Usually the SSID mismatch is caused by another AP in the cell having a different SSID. You may want to reconfigure the SSIDs and make sure that you type the SSIDs the same, making sure that you do not put a space anywhere in the SSID field as that would act as another character. You could as well set the APs back to factory defaults and see if the SSID mismatches are still occuring. If they are still occuring there could be a roque AP that you don't know about.

If I'm only power up any one of the AP. My notebook can associate without any ssid mismatch. What I will try is to reduce the frequency and make use of the mac address authentication. I did browse through the IOS release notes, this problem doesn't listed as an issue. Any other recommendation? Thanks in advanced.
