There is a statement in the help file on your access point:

Click the Best Range button to optimize access point range or the Best Throughput button to optimize throughput.

Note: When you configure the 802.11g access point radio for best throughput, the access point sets all 802.11g data rates to basic (required). This setting blocks association from 802.11b client devices.

If you want the B and would like to block the G then just reverse the config or better yet just click on the disable button on the G rates.

I have a 1200 series WAP with the latest image.

Hopes this help!

AP1100 does not come with 802.11g radio module. AP1200 and BR1310 come with 802.11g radio.

If you want to disable 802.11g on AP1200 or BR1310, you make 1.0M, 2.0M, 5.5M, and 11M as required (or basic if you use CLI) and disable all other rates.

If you want to disable 802.11b on AP1200 or BR1310, disable 1.0M, 2.0M, 5.5M, and 11M and make one of the other speeds (say 6M as required). Another way is to make 54M as required.
