switchover in HA setup

Hi ,

I am using the below setup .

In this . If my distribution switch connecting to the Active wlc down ,then Wlc wont reach gateway. But anyway , through RP port it will response to standby wlc . So AP's wont switover to standby WLC. Or thru Redundant management interface , whether it will chk the reachbilty to gateway and inform to standby wlc ? So that standby wlc can take the role?
