cca 0
concatenation

It depends on many factor.

First thing : run the latest IOS. Really. WGB roaming improved a lot in the last release.

You can then try tweaking, like removing the "mobile station period 5" command, or setting with a treshold of -75 dbm for example and see what works better.

If still no good results, an in-depth analysis could help. Like understanding if your coverage is good enough and why is your WGB taking time to roam.

Is it only once in a while that it's not roaming correctly ? everytime ?

It seems you're only using one antenna which is not the best either ...

Hello,

The version of the bridges is 12.4.3JL1 (one of the last ones).
The command "mobile station period 5 threshold 75" have also proven it and the roaming continues being similar of bad.
The covering is good, but WGB doesn't associate to AP with the best sign, and matienen during a lot of time an AP with worse sign (having others with better sign).

Thanks for your answer

That's actually a rather old code but indeed nearly the latest available for that platform. I heard that the 12.4.25 was supposed to be out for the WMIC early 2011 but not sure of any date.

In any case, how do you know that the wgb actually is associated to a least-than-optimal AP ?

Can you collect the console output showing the roaming events ?

Hello again,

much of the roaming problems have been solved by changing the antenna of the train. The operation has improved by 80%. But now there remains the problem we had before as well. We snmp monitoring by the state of the bridge, and how is it possible that the bridge remains associated with the AP of land, but nevertheless have DOT1 radio interface down?. This causes you to lose connectivity, but the train is associated. Can you think it could be?. Thank you very much for your help.
