Traffic is not hitting to Anchor WLC from local WLC though mobility tunnel is up

A Guest SSID is created on Local WLC and mapped it to Anchor WLC. When user connects to an SSID, traffic is not hitting to Anchor WLC.

1. user gets authenticated

2. no IP address seen in local WLC

3. Mobility tunnel is up

4. But no traffic is seen on Anchore WLC

Anyone knows what is causing  the issue, any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sri

Hi

If client is getting authenticated then client traffic is hitting the Anchor WLC, after all, Anchor is responsible for client authentication, or at least, ask for client authentication to an authentication server.

Keep in mind that you can't use flexconnect local switch on this scenario as the idea o Anchor is actually send the client traffic to a DMZ.

Make sure your setup is correct.

How foreign anchor works is that L2 auth happens on the foreign controller and L3 and dhcp happens on the anchor.

It got fixed. there was a miss configuration on Anchor, replicate the same configuration in foreign and Anchor WLC it fixed the issue.

Thank you all
