Two 5 GHZ radios side by side on backhaul

Hey Folks,

What will happen when two nos. of AP's (IW6300's) are placed side by side, may be 5 meters far from each other as Root access points communicating with other MAP's in the vicinity.

In short, can those RAP's act as redundant access points to each other (if any one fails)?

Let me know.

MAP’s will choose a parent (RAP) which also can be defined. So if a RAP fails, the algorithm will determine a new path which means a new RAP. I would not place the RAP’s too close depending on the antenna and if there is any generated interference. Remember that a RAP has to have the channel configured so I would not have the RAP’s on the same channel.
