Has anyone did an upgrade (from 7.3.112.0) to 7.6?
Has anyone experienced problems with version 7.6? If so, what version do you recommend?

There have been some reported issues with 7.6 and client connectivity on 7.6.
Unless you have 3700 series AP, or need a new feature that is only in 7.6, I would recommend that you go to the lastest release in the 7.4 train.

Hi Mathieu,
Persoanll will recomamnd to go for 7.6 version.
Many bugs in 7.5 and that 7.5 will not get any MR releases, while 7.6 will.
So better to go for 7.6
regards

Hey Scott,
We are looking at the 2700 series. I saw that I should upgrade to 7.6.120. Are there known bugs I should worry about?

7.6.120.X has a lot more stability. I'd recommend you upgrade if necessary.
Not sure when 8.X is going to be available. If you want to wait until then ...

Thanks for the reply Leo ;).
Does anyone have experience with the new 2700 series?

Does version 7.4 support the newest iOS firmware? That's the reason we want to upgrade. We don't have 3700 yet, but were looking at them today. Do you think that version 7.4 will in the long time support the newest iOS firmware as well?
01-23-2014 07:37 AM
3700's require v7.6, v7.4 will not work. v7.4 will be supported for a while, its the AP's that you need to make sure is supported by the code you put on the WLC.
Thanks,
Scott

In 7.4, go for 7.4.121.0 release. Here is the release note for this code
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn74mr02.html
If you are using 5508, make sure your WLC FUS also upgraded to 1.7.0.0. This will usually takes 30-40 min downtime to your wireless, so get enough outage organise for this change.

So I can conclude we have to wait for a more stable release of 7.6 or to install the latest 7.4 and don't have full support for ios 7.x?
