Hi,

we have customer where site is mixture of FlexConnect Mode AP's as well as local mode AP's. When users mode from one place to other place.

( I meant when user move from Flex-connect mode AP to Local Mode AP ) . When user enter Local mode AP's they do not get connected but when troublehsooted this issue if we clear cache on WLC of that particular user then that user gets connected to it.

i am looking for a document of this manual work but couldnt found or is there any way where we can enable automatic connection to both kind of AP modes.

regards,
Pratik

Hello Pratik ,

if your issue is about roaming , then roaming from local AP to flexconnect is not supported , i read this in a Doc but could not find it now ,

the client will seemlessly roam between two flex AP only if these two APs are in same flexconnect group ,

hopefully that answered your question

yes, issue is about roaming,  users are moving from local AP to Flex connect is the scenario. i clear the cache in WLC  and then users are able to connect.

Basically need to know whether is this only solution to avoid or can we do it automatically? Any document?

regards.

no this is not supported , either the lcient should roam between two APs in same AP group /flexconnect group ,

what is the point two neighbors APs one in local and the other in flexconnect ?

Here there are two buildings in that site... users move from one building to other building .

one building has Local mode AP' & Other building is in Flexx connect mode
