Using 1200 for outdoor site surveys?

Hi,

I'm trying to get a kit together that can do all needed site surveys. I know the 1200 will work fine for indoor AP surveys, but can it also be used instead of a 1310 for all outdoor site surveys? Is it functionally the same in terms of radio strength, root bridge capabilities, etc (assuming I'm using an external antenna)?

Also, any other suggestions for tools are very welcome! thanks,

Shaun

For wireless bridging type site surveys, its better to use 1300s. 1200 currently cannot do LAN 2 LAN bridging like the 1300s can.

but, conversely, 1300s can do eveything a 1200 can, plus lan to lan bridging, correct? So I can use a pair of 1310 w/external antenna connectors for all tests (indoor AP, outdoor bridging), using correct antennas for each site?
