Using TACACS+ on WCS and WLC

Hello,

I am trying to setup TACACS+ on both a WLC and WCS. I want to use it for backend authentication, accounting and authorization on both if possible. I used the config guides to set the ACS (v3.3), WLC (v.4.2.112.0), and WCS (v.5.0.56.2).

I am not able to logon using the account I set up on the ACS. I did associate the TACACS+ group settings for the WLC and WCS to the ACS group so I am not really sure if I missed something or not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you see any hits on acs passed or failed attempts ? Is authentication working from other devices like router/switches ?

Make sure that there is no communication issue between acs and wlc.

Check shared secret key ( retype it, do not copy /paste)

If you have also configured accounting /authorization, please disable.

Check it only with authentication configured.
