Very slow boot on wireless LAN

Hello,

I have a PC that connects :

- When connecting to wired LAN boots normally : 2 min max

- When connecting to Wireless LAN, the PC may take 20 min booting (before even openning the session and bringing the VPN tunnel).

I have trace the boot phase on our wireless LAN. It seems :

- The PC-client when booting sends some requests (DNS, LDAP, Win Domain controllers request etc.).

- The WiFi connection is not up, neither the VPN. Hence DNS server responds with « unresolved adress » which is normal. The answer is « 1.1.1.1 » = SESM DNS proxy, which allows to modify unresolved DNS queries with a bogus IP address (set to 1.1.1.1).

- The problem is that the PC-client starts sending requets to « 1.1.1.1 » on some ports particulrly UDP 58, 108, 100, 150, 62, 112..46

- Hence the PC takes 20 min to boot.

- I Have change the PC, then the AP, then the hotspot : same problem !

Does any one have any idea please.

Regards

You can try uninstalling the client and then reinstalling it. After you reinstall, go to Local area Network from "My Network Places". Here, uncheck the "deterministic network enhancer" (DNE) and then try the logon again.
