A couple of years ago a broken ap was removed from our network. Something went wrong in the handling an we still recieve alarm messages stating "AP 'xyz' disassociated from Controller". It can also be seen in the "Add Access Points" list.
What can we do to remove the superfluous information from the database?
WCS 6.0.196.0

ok... have you removed the AP from the WCS?? that is..
WCS Home >> Configure >> Click on the check box of the AP >> on the right top drop down menu >> Remove AP.
The above will do this..
Else, Go to the WLC that is..
WCS Home >> Configure >> Controller >> Select the Respective WLC >> Refresh config from controller.
This will do it for you!!
lemme know if this answered your question..

Hi Jonas,
A first option we may have to fix this is by running an advanced search in WCS for the following:
Search Category = Access Points
Search By = All Unassociated APs
This should show you all the entries for the unassociated APs: by deleting all those entries with the "Remove APs" task in the WCS drop-down menu we might already get rid of the duplicate entries.
Let me know if this helps,
Fede
