WCS move to a different server.

I'm running WCS 6.0.181.0 Linux. 2600 APs and about 10 WiSM blades. I need to move the application to a bigger server (the server is running slow). I'm planning on keeping the server name/ip address to avoid licensing issues. Can anyone guide me through the steps to do this??? I have been unable to find the information in the online documents.

Thanks for any info.

Run a WCS backup on existing server.

Get the .nmsbackup file

Install new WCS on new server.

Restore the backup and use this .nmsbackup file.

/opt/WCSX.X/Backup

/opt/WCSX.X/Restore

Keeping the same IP does not matter, but you need to keep the same hostname.

I do cover in my presentation the Licensing aspect, for your reference:
