Webex Desk wifi can't switch from one AP to the next smoothly

Is anyone else trying to use a Desk or Desk Pro as a mobile unit? We use them for telemedicine, but are having issues with the devices staying connected to wifi. Anytime they move, it can take up to 5 minutes to reestablish a connection on the new AP. We do not have this issue with any other video codecs, seems to be specific to the desk, desk pro and room bar. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

I haven't tried a Desk or Desk Pro like this recently. Most of our Desk Series devices that are configured for WiFi are not mobile.

We have multiple older DX80s configured on WiFi. We also have a number of Room Kit Plus and Room EQ Codecs with PTZ4K cameras mounted on carts. The ability for far end camera control available on these units has proved invaluable in the hospitals we support.

We haven't seen any issues with WiFi as you're suggesting on any of these units. 5 minutes seems to be quite excessive if just roaming from one AP to another. Have you looked at how your WiFi is set up, or sought feedback in a Wireless Forum?

I haven't opened anything on the Wireless forum, I will give that a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
We do feel like that is the issue, but have not been able to get any movement on changes to the network since it accommodates thousands of other devices.

Do not create a new thread.

Instead, move this thread to the Wireless section.

We have several Webex boards on "wheels" (Tele-Health &/or Education environment) and we have not received any complaints about them.

Of course, when the units are wheeled around they are powered off.

we are moving from one patient room to the next, on a powered cart, so the hope was a seamless transition from AP to the next. thanks for the comment though.
