Hi,

I was trying to create rogue rule in Lab and came across Notify while creating rule. Under notify i see three options- Global, Local and None.

I tried to find however cannot find What does these three terms means from functionality point of view.

Who will get notified when Golbal is set and who will get notifies when Local is set.

When None is selected does that mean no alerts will be gererated.

Regards,

Kamal

Here your go:

Notify
Type of notification upon rule match that is one of the following:
All?Notifies the Cisco WLC and a trap receiver such as Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
Global?Notifies only a trap receiver such as Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
Local?Notifies only the Cisco WLC.
None?No notifications are sent.

Thank you Scott.

No problem.... sometimes you will not find it when searching through Google, so your best bet is also to look at the Help on the WLC.  This is located on the top right in the GUI and will have most of all the descriptions for each of the features.  I still reference those a lot.

Thanks,

Scott
