Wifi design for Bus Transit System

Dear Experts,

Can anyone please tell me if Cisco Access points can be installed inside train or Bus? are they vibration certified?

Also what other considerations might be put in terms of design like will the APs be able to handle the fast roaming due to speed of the bus?

Your guidance will be appreciated please

Kindly talk to your Cisco AM/SE.  This sort of requirement is not as easy as putting an AP into a bus/train/tram and it will "magically" work. 

For start, an AP will need to "go" or "talk" to something to get to the gateway and that bit is the most complicated part.

This is achievable but has a lot of constraints and factors you need to consider. Two of the deployments options are as below

1. Setup a mobility express AP and connect its uplink to an ISP router via 4G.

2. For centralized management of the AP on the moving vehicle you can set up an AP on the vehicle via Bridge mode, but for this the entire area the bus is going to be moving needs to have a source AP to support the bridge connectivity.

You would need a cellular setup and then an ap that is connected to that router/switch.  Now depending on what or how you should go about it, might be a better choice to just look at Meraki AP's and manage the whole fleet from a dashboard.  You can go with a Cisco enterprise ap, but its up to you how you would want to manage that, and most likely you would go with FlexConnect or else you will be managing too many controller ap's.
