Looking to mount this on a roof. It will be approx 3 feet off the roof surface. There is about 40-50 feet of roof surface in front of this bridge. The other bridge is across the street about 200-300 yards away (max). That bridge will be mounted on the side of the building. Will the roof surface in front of the first bridge become a problem? Or with horizontal polarization will the roof surface not be an issue? Line of site is clear accept a few power lines half way between the 2 bridges.

You should be OK, with the following exceptions ...

If you are in an area that gets snow, especially blowing snow, 3 feet above the roof surface may not be high enough.

You should stay with vertical polorization. The spread at 200-300 yards should not be significant.

Good Luck

Scott
