we need to connect 2 building LANs using wireless bridges from Cisco. Here are our concerns:

1/ which bridges should we use for 20km link P2P ?

2/ we also need to do ISDN backup for this wireless

link, how to config our Cisco routers to do that ?

topology is :

LAN1---router1----wireless----router2----LAN2

---------isdn---------

Thanks for all help.

sorry my topo does not look good. Anyway router1 and router2 both have isdn interfaces to connect to each other. Thanks.

anybody care to help ???

I don't have answers for your questions. But I have some suggestions that might help to point you in the right direction to get some answers.

There is a bridge range calculator that might help:

http://www.cisco.com/application/vnd.ms-excel/en/us/guest/products/ps458/c1225/ccmigration_09186a00800a912a.xls

A 20km bridge link will probably require some careful attention to the design. There are multiple factors to consider. In this case, some of the more critical factors will be:

- line of sight

- how high the antennas will need to be mounted

- type of antenna to be used

Another reference that might be helpful is the 1400 series deployment guide:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/wireless/ps5279/products_technical_reference_book09186a008029dfe2.html

With reference to configuring backup, maybe there is someone here who can answer that. But you might have better luck in a different forum that is oriented toward answering router or ISDN backup questions.

Thank you very much.

thank you, Sir.
