I am implementing my new 9800-L and one ssid is not working correctly. clients connecting to this ssid are automatically moving to the excluded clients. Do you have any thoughts? Thanks.

   - Have a checkup-analysis  of the the 9800-L   configuration with the CLI command : show  tech   wireless , have the output analyzed by  https://cway.cisco.com/tools/WirelessAnalyzer/  , please note do not use classical show tech-support (short version) , use the command denoted in green for Wireless Analyzer.               Checkout all advisories!

Disable Client Exclusion.

The logs will tell you *why* the clients are being excluded (eg incorrect PSK) so maybe take a look at the logs and think about solving the root cause of the clients being excluded.

Also make sure you're running a recommended version of code as per TAC link below. eg: 17.6.4 or 17.9.2

Hello

Have you checked the logs, why client is excluded and also check the policy implemented for excluded client in 9800 WLC under

Security > Wireless Protection Policies > Client Exclusion Policies

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/8-1/configuration-guide/b_cg81/b_cg81_chapter_0111100.pdf

Good Luck
