Wireless question regarding strength

I have two access points one using 802.11N and the other 802.11AC 1st wave. The N has excellent signal strength while the AC is weak and sometimes will not even appear in the same area N appears in.

I was wondering some good troubleshooting methods to try to figure out why N is so much better. I checked and neither have anything that can cause interference.

What channels are both aps on when you observed this

What is the power setting on the aps 

What device did you use to test this
