Wireless re-authenticating randomly

TOM FRANCHINA

I have been working on this issue for several weeks. Now I have found the issue in Prime when I logged the client. But I am not sure how to solve the problem. The PC never moves from the desk... so I don't know why there was a Controller change, loss of DHCP and a re-auth. Here is the log:

Sleeping Clients?

Leo

No the PC is plugged in and I see it live. Set to never power anything off.

Thanks

did any AP failed close to the client ?

what the idle timeout and session timeout set, do you see any correlation ?

whats the dhcp lease time, do you see any correlation with dhcp half time ?

is the issue only on this client or multiple clients ?

-hope this helps-

We made changes to the idle time and session time. That did help. But we are still getting one re-auth during the day. We run 24/7 in a hospital and trying minimize any disruptions.

DHCP is 6 month lease and it happens to most all the wireless devices that require authentication  public wireless never has an issue

Thanks
