WiSM Blade move

Lame question.  We are going to move our WiSM blade from one 6509 to another.  It is being removed from Module 2 and placed in the other 6509 Module 2.

~ Current IOS  - disk0:s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF7.bin

~ Move to IOS - disk0:s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-vz.122-33.SXI3.bin

Question I have is will this work with different IOS Versions?  What steps do I need to do to make this move seamless?

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Joel

Errrr ... can't make it seamless because once you remove the blade from the slot the WiSM powers down.

What I mean in regards to seamless is I know we will lose WIreless clients.  I want to preserve a fast recconnect so this is what I'm aiming for.

Not sure if it is as simple as plugging WiSM in and verify configs are same previous 6509 Config?

I just did a large wism move myself. A few items to consider.

layer 2 is the same on the new cat

interfaces on the new cat has proper multicast set (pim) etc

use autolag setting up the wism on the new cat

insure you have enough power on the new cat to support the wism

I dont know anything about your move or your design so i would cross check it cat. as for the code you should be fine
