Hi ,
Cant we create a guest user login with more than 30 days lifetime? In the lifetime field we can enter maximum 99 but it only allows up to 30
any idea?

Hi, no the limit is 30days if the user is created in the WLC.
Info from the user guide = Range: 5 minutes to 30 days
You'd configure a longer lifetime if you use the WCS/NCS.
If you configure 90 days via the WCS/NCS you also see on the WLC 30days but the WCS/NCS will update this unitil the 90days are over.

Thanks Ron, so you mean no way wihout WCS/NCS?
I was thinking any other advance options in WLC..

I don't see another option as even the NCS is sending only a max of 30d to the WLC.
The build in "workaround" in the NCS is one background task that is running every day which update this value to 30d until the final 90 days are reached.

Why not just not put them as a regular user. This way they are permanent until you remove the credentials.

I found a way to increase guest lifetime for more than 30 days..
in WLC 2504 Security > AAA> Local Net Users >Edit
change lifetime seconds. You can go up to an year (365 days) but you need to put it in seconds..
