WLC 2504 standalone fails

Hi Guys,

I have a question, I'm new working with the 2504 wlc so I hope I can get some help.

Right now I have configured 2 interfaces with 2 WLANs (internal users and guest), and I have and external DHCP configured for this two interfaces.

My question is, is there any configuration that I can apply where if I loose the WLC, the APs would still be able to reach the external DHCP??

Let me know if you guys need more info on this.

Thanks in advance !!

Edd

HI ,

As per my exp...

(if wlc is down then )no , AP can not reach to DHCP server.

Its better to have redundent WLC in your network to mitigate any kind of issue.

You can configure AP for failover.(in case of 2 wlc).

Regards
