Hello,
I'm borrowing a spare Cisco 5508 WLC from work (WiFi exam), I'm trying to change the IP but it says I can'd as it's part of a HA, how can I break the HA and change the IP?
What is the best way to blank a 5508 config? I want to keep the license keys on it but start again on the config, is that possible?
Thanks

Do you have a console cable available? The easiest way would be to restart the controller and during the boot process press escape when it says to enter additional boot options and then select Clear Configuration to default it.
Note, once you have booted it with no config you'll have to go through a series of initial steps such as setting the IP, subnet, gateway and a few other things in order to get the WLC up and running so have that info handy.
Cheers,
Ric

config redundancy mode disable

Should disable ha. If it's an HA-SKU unit though you may run into licensing issues using it as a standalone.
