WLC 7.4.110.0 failover problems (services not working anymore)

For some time now our WLC reboots after the message

Mar 13 00:19:09 WLC-HA-: *rmgrMain: Mar 13 00:19:09.986: #RMGR-3-RED_HEARTBEAT_TMOUT: rmgr_main.c:242 rmgrTmoHeartbeat: Recved GW ping count 6 phyMgr ping count 0.

we then get ip address conflicts (primary and standby unit)

after this failover 2 severe problems occur:

  • The wlc does not send radius packets anymore (from the eduroam interfaces).
  • The wlc "forgets" the "guest lan" on an interface and as subsequent issue this interface is deleted as ingrees interface of a "Guest LAN"

if we upgrade to 7.4.121.0 and i do the setting "config redundancy management-gateway-failover disable" as described in this thread then the error would still occur on another failover reason.

any ideas on this issues?

Hi,

#DTL-1-IP_CONFLICT_DETECTED: dtl_net.c:4857 Network device with mac addr 00:07:7d:bf:95:6f using IP address o

The IP address of one of the interfaces on the switch is being used by another network element. Please find out the other device which is using the same IP.

If still fails then raise a TAC case.

Regards

The other device is the 2nd WLC...

2nd wlc goes offline for half an hour at any time, at that time we are not able to ping that IP also after half an hour it starts automatically..
