WLC 9800-CL - Unregistered 9800-CL can only be used in lab

Hi,

We are running into this error " Unregistered 9800-CL can only be used in lab. For production usage, please register this device in 122 days. Failure to do so will result in a limited number 50 of Access Points being allowed post this". Everything I have found for this issue is related to the smart licensing and device registration.  The device is registered to the smart licensing account and the WLC has the attached license configuration.  Does this not mean its properly licensed? Every time I set it to “directly connected” it reverts to the attached setting. Are we missing something or need to verify anything else?  Any thoughts or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  - Adding  : checkout the controller configuration , with the CLI command show tech wireless
                                                           and feed the output from that into Wireless Config Analyzer
