WLC C9800 "% Failed to parse or verify imported certificate"

When I import the signed certificate to c9800 controller I get the message "% Failed to parse or verify imported certificate". Seekng assistance on how to resolve this problem, thanks.

 Which is the certifate format? it should be .pfx

What you are going to use certificate for? Web administration?

Hi,

It's in the .cer format.

Setup for web authentication, for the web to be trusted and remove the "Log in to network" when user accessing through web authentication.

The document I share is saying you need .pfx certificate. That must be it. You need to generate the CSR file on the WLC, send it to a Certification Authority to be signed and exported in .pfx format and then imported on the WLC
