You are better off probably comparing the file transfers when the device is connected on 5GHz vs 2.4GHz.  Also maybe look at bumping up your lowest mandatory rate to 24Mbps as long as you have enough coverage.

hello Scoott ;

no I'm not comparing file transfers between 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz , I'm just trying  to copy  file over wireless Network and speed of copying it's 400 Ko It's very Slow !!

Regards.

Younes

You should compare! If you notice that on 2.4GHz is slow but on 5GHz it’s not, then your issue is with the 2.4GHz spectrum and utilization. The only fix for that is to make adjustments to allow devices to connect via 5GHz and not 2.4GHz.

Why file transfers are slow over the wireless:
•NIC drivers
•poor RF quality
•poor density
•poor AP placements
•wireless configuration not optimal

hello scott ;

I didn't test if it very slow on 5 GHZ or not , but on 2.4 GHZ It is it's just 300 ko/S !!!!!!

Get an AP that is not in Flex and connect to the controller. Run the test yourself.

Well 2.4GHz spectrum utilization can be high since there is only 3 overlapping channels. That is why it’s slow. You need to use a spectrum analyzer or look at what the utilization is in the area that it’s slow. 2.4GHz is almost useless in environments today when you have high density deployments or in a shared tenant building. Nothing you can do about that.

Like I mentioned before, there are other things you need to look at. An old wireless NIC driver can be a cause or your SSID settings, etc.

That is not possible.  WLC3504 cannot run 8.3.
