WLC2504 with 1142 as Rogue Scanner

I have a customer who is upgrading from AIR-WLC2112-K9 wireless controller to an AIR-CT2504-15-K9.  Can they still use their 1142 to scan for rogue wireless networks, or do they need to upgrade to a newer access point?

As long as the AP is operating as controller-based, the AP will be able to scan rogue APs through the WLC.

Make sure the WLC's bootstrap gets upgraded.  When you order the WLC, make sure you specify the version of firmware you want loaded.
