Continuing our special series for the Women Rock IT program, today we bring you a story of courage, reinvention, and sisterhood. If you missed the first blog in the series, check it out here: Read the first blog.
A Journey of Resilience and Inspiration
Clarice dos Santos is a mother of two (and a few cats as well!) with nearly 30 years of experience in the IT industry. Her career began at the Help Desk, moving through roles as a Support Analyst before becoming a supervisor. She always worked in the Service Desk area, but like so many women, she paused her career to care for her children.
Her return to the workforce was made possible by the invitation of a former manager-a clear example of how support networks and sisterhood can transform career paths. After a few years, and a stint in interior design, Clarice decided to return to IT in 2022. Today, she is the NOC Coordinator at Vivo Vita, leading a team of 46 people.
Clarice makes a point to highlight: "I returned to the workforce at 50, which means you can be whatever you want, whenever you want."
Her message is powerful: challenges exist, life is busy, and obstacles will arise, but we should never let that stand in the way of our dreams.
The Power of Sisterhood
Clarice's story shows how support among women, sharing experiences, and the strength of community are essential to overcoming obstacles and achieving our goals. Whether returning to your career, changing fields, or taking on new challenges, sisterhood makes all the difference.
Be inspired by Clarice's journey and remember: it's never too late to start again and achieve what you want!
Stay tuned for the next chapters in our series, and share this story with other girls who also dream of making a difference in technology!
