A9K-24x10GE-TR Line Card can not support SFP-10G-ZR

Interface on SFP-10G-ZR status down plug on A9K-24x10GE-TR Line Card which install on ASR9910 (A9K-RSP440-SE) . But interface on SFP-10G-LR status up plug on A9K-24x10GE-TR same Line Card and I can check status by command 'show controllers tenGigEX/X/X/X phy'. I am unsure that is BUG. Follow show logging attached file.

It is listed as compatible.  Is this a Cisco SFP+?

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/routers/asr-9000-series-aggregation-services-routers/data_sheet_c78-624747.html

The only other thing I can think of is that the version of software you are running does not support it.

hi!

also have a look at this document:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/143971/asr9000xr-using-high-powered-dwdm-optics-24-and-36x10-cards

there are some restrictions with the high powered optics in certain chassis given a particular fan type tray you may have (and bound to release).

there are some overrides possible, but you want to be careful with that otherwise you'll make the router a toaster :)

to check whether the type is recognized use: show controller teng<intf> int.

it shows whether the pluggable is compliant/recognized etc.

Example:

RP/0/RP0/CPU0:ASR9922#show controllers tenGigE0/5/0/0 int | i Plug

Mon Mar 13 15:28:43.234 EDT

Pluggable Present   : yes

Pluggable Type      : SFP-10G-LR

Pluggable PID       : SFP-10G-LR

Pluggable Compl.    : Compliant

Pluggable Type Supp.: Supported

Pluggable PID Supp. : Supported

Overrides are: tranceiver permit pid all interface command and global config service unsupport-transceiver.

cheers
