Hi Team,

I am inserted the A9K-MPA-1X100GE line card on the A9K-MOD400-SE but it showing disabled state.

Running software:6.1.4

To upgrade or downgrade these FPD the "force" option must be used in the
"admin> upgrade hw-module fpd <fpd> force location <loc>" CLI.
2. ^ One or more FPD will be intentionally skipped from upgrade using CLI with option "all" or during "Auto fpd".
It can be upgraded only using the "admin> upgrade hw-module fpd <fpd> location <loc>" CLI with exact location.

I would need to see the show logging of when the MPAs were inserted, but if I had to guess it is either improper seating of the MPA/MOD or not enough power to bring the MPA's online. You only have 1 power supply that is functioning. Also the 2x40G MPA doesn't work in the MOD80, you need at least a MOD160 for that.

I would suggest fixing the power issues and check admin show environment power as well as sending the show logging.

Also did you just open a case yesterday for this with TAC? The outputs look almost the same.

Thanks for reply, I have the enough power on the chassis and MOD80 card also removed. rightnow only MOD400 card with 2XMPA cards are installed on the chassis but still MPA cards are not powered ON.

The other thing that seems odd is that in the configuration state for show platform it says 'SHUT' on the MPAs.

Can you check that there is no config causing them to be shutdown?

admin show run | i hw-module

Also did you get any error messages in syslog when the MPAs were booted?
