I've added the necessary root certificate and SMU and should be staged for upgrade. My question is, since I am wanting to install SP1, will my other PIES upgrade properly?

RP/0/RSP1/CPU0:HHPA-CCCC#sh install inactive
Secure Domain Router: Owner

Node 0/RSP0/CPU0 [RP] [SDR: Owner]
Boot Device: disk0:
Inactive Packages:
disk0:asr9k-doc-px-6.4.2
disk0:asr9k-fpd-px-6.4.2
disk0:asr9k-k9sec-px-6.4.2
disk0:asr9k-mcast-px-6.4.2
disk0:asr9k-mgbl-px-6.4.2
disk0:asr9k-mini-px-6.4.2
disk0:asr9k-mpls-px-6.4.2
disk0:asr9k-px-6.4.2.sp1-1.0.0

Am I fine to install/activate at this point?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jason,

you will need to upgrade to 5.3.3 or 5.3.4 as an intermediate release before moving to 6.4.2

please see section "32-bit IOS XR Corrupt Pie File (SWIMS)"

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/ios-nx-os-software/ios-xr-software/213745-ios-xr-upgrade-changes-certificate-expi.html

Thank you
