Blocked Interface Statistics

Hi Community,

We have an ASR9K facing a problem to display the interfaces statistics, when typing a show command like "show ipv4 int brief" or "show interfaces interface-id" or any other command to show an interface information or statistic, no info is displayed. Actually we have noticed that the process statsd_manager_g is blocked:

# show processes blocked

   334 41918806 7 mibd_interface Reply 0:00:11:0075 569597 statsd_manager_g

Can someone help me to resolve this problem.

Thank you.

Did you try to restart this process?

1. show processes statsd_manager_g  - Copy it to notepad

2. process restart statsd_manager_g

3. show processes statsd_manager_g - compare "Last started" and "Process state"

Thank you

It's usually not a statsd issue, we would need to see the full show process blocked for the RSP and for the LC hosting the interface. Even with that we would likely need a TAC case to dig deeper on a webex into the flow of information between LC(s) and RSP to determine where the messages are getting hung up. If you let it run for about 5m (the timeout of sysdb is 240s I believe) does the router finally return some data or the prompt with no data but a syslog error (again likely from sysdb)?

Thank you Sam, it doesn't return any result by the end but the problem is resolved by an RSP switchover.
